Hospitals
Based at Addenbookes Hospital, Cambridge, AVM has been a part of the Estates and Facilities department for many years and has been a trading enterprise for much of that time. We work with many hospitals throughout the UK, both NHS and private.
AVM was initially created to service hospital decontamination machines and equipment, and has provided an entire range of services from consultancy through to training for our hospital clients.
Our team of consultants and trainers now carry out work for over 120 Hospital Trusts throughout the UK including some of the top Trusts in London, inclusive of Guy’s and St Thomas’, St Barts, Royal Marsden and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Laboratories
A number of NHS affiliated and independent laboratories use AVM services, in particular, our training and authorising services. We have, through our consultancy services, worked with a number of laboratories to help set up decontamination procedures to be compliant with relevant standards.
Pharmaceutical Companies
While many of our clients (such as hospitals) follow HTM standards, pharmaceutical companies are governed by FDA standards and our engineers are able to conduct our services to this standard. We have several pharmaceutical clients and provide a range of services including authorisation.
Veterinary Surgeries
AVM has a number of clients in this field and we provide training and services for vacuum and non vacuum benchtop sterilisers. The amalgamation of many vet practices into larger groups has meant that decontamination of equipment has become an 'in-house' activity as increased volumes make it a worthwhile exercise.
Field Hospitals
We don't just provide services to civilian hospitals but also the UK Armed Services. We work with a number of medical units to ensure they benefit from the same high standards as our hospitals.
Walk-In Centres
Many of these medical centres have a decontamination equipment unit and AVM work with a number of them to provide consultancy, servicing, validation and training.
Insurance Companies
AVM even provide validating engineers for insurance risk assessments to ascertain the effects of safety valve pressure releases. Creating a controlled pressure release for a decontamination machine allows an impact assessment to be conducted for that device.
